Wolves Striker tested positive for Corona

Covid-19 was recently declared as a pandemic by the World Health Organization. The disease has completely overtaken the World. The virus has affected the sporting world to a great extent. Many players and coaches have been affected. Patrick Cutrone is the latest addition to the ever-increasing list of Corona affected patients. Cutrone is the third player to have tested positive for Corona Virus in Italy. I

In positive news, another player from Italy, Fabio Deapoli, has reported that he is fine. Deapoli, the Sampordia defender, took to Instagram to say that he is “fine.”

Patrick Cutrone moved to Italy in January:

The 22-year old striker started playing a professional player in 2007 with AC Milan youth team. Cutrone moved to the senior squad in 2017. He was a part of the senior team for two years before eventually moving out to England to play for Wolves. Patrick was part of a Wolves team for the 2019 season. Cutrone was an integral part of the side which made some serious inroads into the top-4. Patrick Cutrone moved to Fiorentina on an initial 18-month period in the January transfer window of 2020.

He was tested on Saturday. The test results came out positive. His current club made an official statement saying “ACF Fiorentina announces that footballers Patrick Cutrone and German Pezzella and physiotherapist Stefano Dainelli also underwent tests. All three resulted positive and are in good health at their homes in Florence.”

Serie A has been affected severely:

Italy has been struck hard by Corona Virus. The Serie A was one of the first football league to postpone its season. The country is the third most severely affected country. China and Iran hold the first two spots. Italy has banned all the sporting events and public gatherings until 3rd April. A further decision on the rest of the Serie A season will be taken after 3rd April.
