Manchester United star Paul Pogba has warned his team-mates at the French national team not to get carried away by the power-packed squad that they have.
With Karim Benzema back in the national squad after a long wait of 6 years, the Les Blues look more lethal than ever. The trio of Benzema, Griezmann and Mbappe can give nightmares to even the best defences in Europe, and they are arguably the favourites to win the tournament this year.

What concerns Paul Pogba?
However, french midfielder Paul Pogba feels that they must avoid being over-confident if they want to be successful in the tournament. The Frenchman agrees that they have a very strong team โon-paperโ which is why some of his teammates are very likely to take the Euros for granted. โItโs the ego that kills you,โ quoted Paul Pogba to support his statement.
In a recent interview that Paul Pogba gave to TF1, he said
โYou canโt see yourself as being too beautiful. You shouldnโt see yourself as beautiful at all. I donโt want to get carried away too much because weโve already been built up enough, I think.โ
โOf course itโs scary for other teams, but it can also be scary for us too. It can put pressure on us because of the team we have, that we feel that weโre guaranteed to win or even to always score three goals.
โPeople are going to expect all of this. But thatโs not football. Itโs the ego that kills you.
โIn this squad, there is none. There is not one person above another.โ

Paul Pogba even termed the French national side as a โplaystation teamโ, or a dream team as all of their positions are occupied by the best in the world.
โWe have a PlayStation team but it will remain a PlayStation team if we don’t win a trophy,โ he told Eurosport.
โWe have to live up to expectations and there’ll be even more expected with Karim’s return. It’s nice to see a team sheet like that… It’s always an honour but you always have to be present on the pitch.
โBeing world champions and having a team like that, we will be expected to do even more.
โWe must remain humble. I want to give this message: it’s not a foregone conclusion. We hear a lot of talk but we keep our feet on the ground.โ
Moreover, France has been placed in Group F in Euro 2020, alongside Germany, Portugal and Hungary. Tough group fixtures have made concentration and focus the need of the hour at the french camp.
France’s recent performances

France defeated Wales 3-0 in last weekโs friendly. In what proved to be an easy victory for the Les Blues, Mbappe, Griezmann and Ousmane Dembele scored one goal each. It was a rather unpleasant return to the national side for Karim Benzema as the Real Madrid star missed a penalty. France however, got an early one man advantage when Welsh defender Neco Williams was shown his way out in the 26th minute for a deliberate handball.
France play their next friendly against Bulgaria on 9th June before heading into Euro 2020, where they meet Germany in the first match on 16th June.
