Nanni Galli Biography: Nanni Galli was born on 2 October 1940 in Bologna, Italy. Galli’s career began with endurance biking. In 1968, he won the Circuit of Mugello race and finished second in the Targa Florio partnering Ignazio Giunti. In an Alfa Romeo T33/2, Galli and Giunti finished fourth in the 1968 24 Hours of Le Mans. The following year at Le Mans, he and Robin Widdows shared a Matra and finished seventh. Galli made his final appearance at Le Mans in 1970, driving an Alfa Romeo T33/3 alongside Rolf Stommelen.

Nanni Galli F1 Career
Galli moved briefly into Formula1 in 1970, debuting in the 1970 Italian Grand Prix with McLaren-Alfa. He had a few drives over the next few years, finishing third in the non-championship Grand Prix of the Italian Republic at Vallelunga in 1972 for the minor Tecno team. In 1972, he drove for Ferrari in the French Grand Prix at Circuit Charade near Clermont-Ferrand. This was his only opportunity to make it large. Galli qualified twenty-first and finished thirteenth. After a half-dozen races in an uncompetitive car for Frank Williams, Galli declared his retirement the following year. Galli participated in 20 Grands Prix of the World Championship without earning any championship points.
