Aman Sehrawat Biography: Aman Sehrawat was born in a Hindi Jat family on 16th July 2003 in Birohar, Haryana, India. In the same place, he took part in mud wrestling. He is inspired by Sushil Kumar’s silver medal win in the Olympics in 2012. He enrolled at the Chhatrasal Stadium in North Delhi at the age of 10. His fortunes started to change with his training at Chhatrasal Stadium.

Aman Sehrawat Biography: Career

Aman Sehrawat won his first National Championship title in 2021. He used to train under coach Lalit Kumar.
He won a gold medal at the Under 23 Asian Championships in 2022.
He became the first-ever Indian who won a gold medal at the Under 23 World Championships.
He won a gold medal at the Asian Wrestling Championships 2023 in Astana.
He also won a bronze medal in the 57 kg category at the Asian Games 2022.
He won the gold medal in the men’s 57 kg event at the Zagreb Open Wrestling tournament.
He competed at the World Wrestling Olympic Qualification Tournament in 2024 in Istanbul and he earned India a quota place for the Summer Olympics 2024.
He was the only Indian male wrestler to qualify for the Summer Olympics 2024.
He became the youngest Indian that win a bronze medal at the Olympics in 2024.

Aman Sehrawat got a quota place for the 2024 Summer Olympics after he competed at the World Wrestling Olympic Qualification Tournament 2024. The WFI picked him over Tokyo Olympics silver medalist Ravi Kumar Dahiya for the Summer Olympics 2024. He was the only Indian male wrestler who got qualified for the 2024 Summer Olympics.

In the event of 57 kg at the Olympics 2024, he defeated Vladimir Egorov and Zelimkkhan Abakarov through the technical superiority before he lost to the top speed Rei Higuchi in the semi final. Because of that he won the bronze medal by defeating Darian Cruz. He become the youngest Indian who won an individual Olympic medal at the age of 21.

Before his final match he was weight 61.5 kgs and because of that, he trained himself for a lot of hours and then he was weight 57 kgs just after 10 hours.

Aman Sehrawat Biography: Family

Aman Sehrawat was born to Somveer Sehrawat and Kamlesh Sehrawat. His father was a farmer and his mother was a homemaker. Both of his parents are no longer in this world. The passing of his parents was very tragic and shocking news for his entire family. Unfortunately, when he lost both of his parents, at that time he was just 11 years old. His mother passed away after she committed suicide because of mental health struggles and his father passed away after some months.

Because of the passing of Aman parents, he and his younger sister Puja Sehrawat were taken by their uncle Sudhir Sehrawat. Sudhir claimed that Aman struggled with depression and considered drug use after the passing of his mother. With the help of wrestling training Aman came out of depression and drugs and his life got changed.
