Ferran Torres Transfer News: Does AC Milan Want him from Barcelona?

Ferran Torres Transfer News: If Real Madrid elect to keep Brahim Diaz, AC Milan may pursue Ferran Torres from Barcelona.

El Nacional reports that Florentino Perez, president of Real Madrid, is considering keeping Diaz at the Santiago Bernabeu for the next season. For the last three years, he has been on loan at AC Milan, but he will be returning to Real Madrid in the summer.

A return to Los Blancos for the Spanish playmaker would force AC Milan to replace him. He is an indispensable member of the Rossoneri’s first squad, having scored 17 goals and added 12 assists in 116 appearances across all competitions.

The seven-time UEFA Champions League champions might pursue Torres if Diaz leaves. Evidently, they’re prepared to spend €30 million to get the 23-year-old who has lost manager Xavi Hernandez’s trust.

After Torres scored the game-winning goal in Sunday’s (April 23) La Liga victory against Atletico Madrid, the Spanish coach had nothing but praise for his star striker. The fact, though, is that the Spanish striker is not good enough to consistently start for the Blaugrana.

Torres has made 23 substitute appearances out of his total of 39 this season. According to reports, he is one of five players Barcelona is considering trading this summer in order to clear payroll and make room for Lionel Messi’s return.

At the conclusion of the current campaign, Lionel Messi’s contract with Paris Saint-Germain will be up, and rumors of a return to Barcelona have been rampant.

The 35-year-old is set to win his second consecutive Ligue 1 championship at the Parc des Princes but has not yet signed a new contract with the club. Carlo Ancelotti, manager of Real Madrid, was quizzed amongst it all about Lionel Messi’s possible return to the Camp Nou.
