Kylian Mbappe has been linked with a move to Real Madrid for a long time now

Real Madrid have asked PSG about Kylian Mbappe through intermediaries and have been told that the French player is not for sale this summer.

“Everyone knows I have a deep connection to the club. I want to thank them because when I come here, I am no one. They gave me more confidence than I deserved. I have always been grateful to the officers and the club. PSG know my feelings and know I will not do anything to damage the club,” Kylian Mbappe said after the end of last season.

Real Madrid cannot afford him anyway due to the COVID-19 crisis, but he has made it clear that it would be in PSG’s best interests to sell him now while they still can. PSG are not willing to sell him this summer and are taking the risk of convincing the French International to stay in the final 6 months of his contract.

The Spanish giants can’t afford to sign Kylian Mbappe due to their financial difficulties. In reality, the only way Real Madrid are going to get their man is on a free transfer, with PSG not likely to accept any sort of cut-price fee. That makes this latest news a potentially huge boost for Real Madrid, but it could also be bad news. If Mbappe is not going to sign a new deal, PSG could sell him this season to avoid losing the player, who could well become the best player in the world in the coming years.
