Manchester United Transfer News: Update On Alexis Mac Allister To Manchester United

Manchester United Transfer News: Manchester United have allegedly begun contract negotiations with Brighton & Hove Albion player Alexis Mac Allister to secure his services before Liverpool.

According to Fabrizio Romano, a transfer analyst, the Red Devils have contacted Mac Allister’s agents about a possible move to Old Trafford. The Argentine midfielder has only been under contract with Brighton since last November, but he is certain to depart in the next offseason.

Romano also said that Mac Allister plans to stay in England, but hopes to find a new club this summer. In 30 games played in all competitions this season, he has 10 goals and two assists to show for it.

The 24-year-old also shone for Argentina, helping them win the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar. He played in six games, scoring one and assisting in another.

Despite Liverpool’s interest in the Argentine midfielder, Manchester United continues to pursue him. He is seen by some as a viable replacement for Jude Bellingham in Merseyside.

Mac Allister, though, is only one of several possibilities for Jurgen Klopp, who plans to completely retool his Liverpool squad this summer. Old Trafford is reportedly interested in signing him, making a transfer there more plausible.

Since joining Manchester United last summer, Erik Ten Hag has already strengthened his midfield. Last summer, he was responsible for bringing in Casemiro and Christian Eriksen. In January, the Red Devils convinced Bayern Munich to loan Marcel Sabitzer to them until the conclusion of the season. When the Austrian’s loan ends, they may or may not decide to sign him permanently.

In December, Argentina won their third FIFA World Cup, and Mac Allister was a big reason why. The Brighton midfielder set up Angel di Maria for the game’s first goal. After regulation and overtime ended in a 3-3 stalemate, La Abicleste prevailed 4-2 on penalties.
