On May 10, Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium hosted a match between the Mumbai Indians (MI) and the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). Rohit Sharma, captain of MI, was out for just seven runs in MI’s second innings after being caught LBW by RCB bowler Wanindu Hasaranga. Notably, DRS proved that the ball was smacking the stump, notwithstanding the umpire’s first call of not-out.
After the removal of the MI captain, several players were perplexed by the DRS call. One among those who questioned Rohit’s dismissal was former India cricketer Mohammad Kaif.

Mohammad Kaif posted a picture from the game on Twitter. He wrote: “Hello DRS, yeh thoda jyada nahi ho gaya? How can this be lbw?”
Yuvraj Singh, an ex-Indian all-rounder, has now contested the DRS ruling against Rohit. He replied to Kaif’s post. He wrote: “Ridiculous.”
On Tuesday, Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma remarked that several teams in the upcoming IPL 2023 are opting to take chances. The five-time champion Mumbai Indians, led by Rohit, needed just 16.3 overs to knock down a massive 200-run target set by the Royal Challengers Bangalore.
