Moussa Diaby Transfer News: Real Madrid wants him as Vinicus’ back-up

Moussa Diaby Transfer News: Moussa Diaby, a star for Bayer Leverkusen who has been linked with Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), has been identified by Real Madrid as a perfect backup for Vinicius Jr.

Since his transfer from PSG to Leverkusen for a reported €15 million in 2019, 23-year-old Diaby has become a mainstay in the team’s starting lineup. This season, he has been in outstanding form, contributing 14 goals and 10 assists in 42 games played.

During the upcoming summer transfer window, Real Madrid reportedly wants to add to their offensive depth. Diaby, who might serve as Vinicius’ backup, is a target for a long-term transfer.

However, Los Blancos probably won’t be able to sign the nine-time France international free of competition. The next 2023–24 season will see tough competition for the La Liga team from Manchester United and PSG.

Diaby, who is under contract with the BayArena until June 2025, may be a great addition to Real Madrid if he moves this summer. He can also fill in on the left side, although his real strength is on the right.

Diaby is presently worth €50 million on Transfermarkt. The success of the PSG first team and the UEFA Europa League might boost the value of the PSG young product.

However, during this offseason, Manchester United hopes to acquire a first-string wide player. At Old Trafford, Jadon Sancho has had trouble being consistent, and Antony hasn’t lived up to his high price tag.

Meanwhile, with Lionel Messi and Neymar’s futures up in the air, PSG is looking to restock their offensive options. Diaby has contributed 49 goals and 47 assists in 166 games for Leverkusen in all competitions.
