PSG Transfer News: PSG selling Achraf Hakimi?

PSG Transfer News: This summer, PSG will be open to bids for Achraf Hakimi from Premier League powerhouses like Manchester United and Chelsea.

Since 2017, the Moroccan has played for four different teams. According to Teamtalk, the Parisians are willing to trade Hakimi if a decent offer comes through, so he may be on the move once again.

According to their source, PSG plans to completely revamp their roster this summer. With both Manchester United and Chelsea reportedly interested in Hakimi, the club may decide to cash in on the midfielder’s services.

Hakimi, 24 years old, may be on his way to Staples Center as his former PSG manager, Mauricio Pochettino, is in advanced discussions to become the next permanent manager of the Blues.

However, West London rivals Manchester United are also interested in adding to their defense and are seeking to replace Aaron Wan-Bissaka, according to the aforementioned article.

Hakimi joined PSG in 2021 after being transferred from Inter Milan for €60 million. He has helped diversify the team’s offense with eight goals and eleven assists in 77 games across all competitions. They won Ligue 1 last season with Hakimi as a key contributor, and they want to repeat it this year.

According to transfermarkt.com, the 24-year-old is worth €70 million and has a contract with PSG until 2026. PSG is in striking distance of winning their 11th Ligue 1 championship and second in a row. The Parisians are eight points clear of second-place Marseille with 75 points after 32 games. They just need three more victories to clinch another French championship.

PSG might win the title sooner than that if Marseille loses two of their next three games. The next three teams for the Parisians are all stuck in the bottom part of the standings: Lorient, Troyes, and Ajaccio. On paper, PSG may win the title on May 13 (game day 35).
