Former Pakistan captain Sarfaraz Ahmed has been brutally trolled by members and trollers for the last one year. The wicketkeeper-batsman has to face some harsh trolls, memes and hate on social media. All this started with a loss against India in the World Cup 2019. Cameras caught Sarfaraz yawning from behind the stumps. The picture went viral in no times. the trollers and memers have used it to troll him since then.
Sarfaraz Ahmed performed below average in the World Cup. He also faced a lot of criticism due to Pakistan’s early exit from the World Cup in the league stage itself. Hence, PCB axed him as the captain of the Pakistan team, and he even lost his place from the team later. After nearly a year, he made his comeback into the team.
He was part of the squad in the Pakistan tour of England but did not get to play in all the three test matches. He even was out of the playing XI in the two T20 internationals. During the third Test match in, cameras again caught Sarfaraz yawning during England’s first innings of batting. During the 2nd T20I in Manchester, the same thing got repeated. Then he started facing sever trolls from social media as being the first cricketer to have yawned in all the three formats.

He finally got to play in the third T20I. But, he made matters worse for himself as he failed to implement an easy stumping of the England batsman Moeen Ali. Ali went to score a 33-ball 61. However, Pakistan went on to win the match by 5 runs due to the brilliant bowling performance from Shaheen Afridi and Wahab Riaz.

After facing such severe trolls, Sarfaraz posted a cryptic tweet as his reply to the trollers and memers. On September 2, he took to Twitter to write, “Main itna bhi bura nahi hu, jitna log bata rahe hai.” This meant that he is not as bad as people portray him.
Now, Sarfaraz’s wife Khushbakht Sarfaraz has come out in support of her husband. She has posted a picture of Australian batsman Steve Smith yawning during the T20I match against England. Australia is currently on their tour of England for a three-match ODI and T20I series. Southampton hosted the first T20I match between the two sides on September 4.
