Swastik Chhikara Biography: Early Life
Swastik Chhikara is an Indian cricket player. He was born on 3rd April 2005 in Ghaziabad, India. As of 2024, he is 19 years old, He is a cricket player from Uttar Pradesh (UP). He is a right-hand batsman and he has played for many teams like Meerut Mavericks. He comes from an athletic family as his father whose name is Surender Chhikara was a long-time distance runner and on the other, his sisters excelled in sprinting.
Also, his father is employed as a sub-inspector with the Delhi Police and he also provides training to the newly recruited officers at the Delhi Police Training Institute in Waziravad. His father also runs a cricket academy which is known as SS Nalanda Cricket Hostel, which is located in Ghaziabad.
It has been claimed that Swastik Chhikara’s mother, Sudha Chhikara used to take him daily to a cricket academy in Ghaziabad in early times, In 2019, he first gained prominence, at that time he was just 16 years old. There he set a world record by scoring 585 in 167 deliveries which also includes 52 sixes and 55 fours, for Mahi Cricket Club at the time of 40 over match in the Shaheed Ramprasd Bismil Open Cricket Tournament.

- Swastik Chhikara played for Meerut Mavericks in the inaugural UPT20 league from August to September 2023 and he ended up as the 2nd highest run scorer. He made 494 runs.
- Chhikara was also included in the Uttar Pradesh squad for the 2023 Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 Trophy but he did not get any chance to play unfortunately.
- He made his official List A debut for Uttar Pradesh against Himachal Pradesh at Chandigarh in 2023.
- He opened the batting for Uttar Pradesh, and he slammed a century on his List A debut match to help his team win by 7 wickets with 78 balls remaining.
- In 2023, he was officially bought by Delhi Capitals for ₹20 lakh in the player auction for the IPL 2024.
