Koeman signed Pedri from La Palmas for a meager sum of 5 million euros and has seen a huge potential in the youngster. The 17-year-old has played in every match for Barcelona this season since his arrival and looks to impress with consistent performances. He told Cadena Ser that his move to Barcelona was possible only because Real Madrid rejected him. Pedri had a trial at Los Blancos for a week but he was undermined and not selected for further ahead. He admitted the rejection pissed him off but also encouraged him to join Barcelona and prove what a talent he is.
