India and Pakistan are known to have tense relations between them since the partition of two nations in 1947. The verbal spat between the two countries is a pretty common occurrence and in the latest turns of event two veteran players have involved in a spat which has turned pretty ugly. The Indian World Cup-winning opening batsman Gautam Gambhir has slammed the Pakistani skipper Shahid Afridi over his latest comments against India.
Modi mind is a “bigger disease:” Shahid Afridi
The verbal stat between the former Pakistani skipper and Gautam Gambhir players started after a video of Shahid Afridi surfaced online. The video displayed Shahid Afridi spitting bad blood against India and the Prime Minister of the country. He stated “I am in your beautiful village, I am very delighted. I was planning to visit you all from a long time. The world is currently infected by such a big disease,”
Shahid Afridi also took a dig at Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said, “But the bigger disease is in Modi’s mind.”
“Modi deployed 7 lakh soldiers in Kashmir, same as the total strength of Pakistani forces,”
Gautam Gambhir tag ‘Shahid Afridi’ as a joker
Gautam Gambhir who is not known for holding his words back gave a stern reply to Shahid Afridi. Gambhir took on to twitter to reply to Shahid Afridi. He tweeted “Pakistan has 7 lakh force backed by 20 crore people says 16-year-old man @SAfridiOfficial. Yet begging for Kashmir for 70 years. Jokers like Afridi, Imran & Bajwa can spew venom against India & PM @narendramodi ji to fool Pak ppl but won’t get Kashmir till judgment day! Remember Bangladesh?”
The verbal argument between Shahid Afridi and Gautam Gambhir is not new. Both the players got into a fight for the first time during a game in 2007. Both the players hurled abuses at each other in the game.
