IPL 2020: Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) faced the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in a recent encounter in IPL 2020. Both of them were looking for their maiden win in the tournament. KKR emerged as the victorious side in the tie, defeating SRH by seven wickets.
SRH won the toss and elected to bat first. The KKR bowlers bowled superbly and restricted the Sunrisers Hyderabad to a total of 142 runs for the loss of four wickets. Manish Pandey hit 51 runs in 38 balls to guide his team to this total.
While chasing the target, SRH bowlers made early inroads dismissing Sunil Narine and captain Dinesh Karthik cheaply. However, young gun Shubman Gill played a scintillating and matured knock ( unbeaten 70 off 62 balls ) to guide his team to victory. Eoin Morgan supported Gill at the other end and both of them stitched an important partnership of 92 runs, to secure the maiden win for KKR in IPL 2020.

Gill won the Man Of The Match award for his superb innings. After getting past the winning line, he posted a picture of him hugging Morgan on Instagram. He captioned it as, “Glad to get off the mark.”
SRH youngster, Abhishek Sharma commented on his post and took a sly dig at Gill. He wrote, “Bach gya tu iss vaar” (You were lucky this time).
Abhishek was indicating about the six which Gill hit him in the 17th over of the innings. Meanwhile, former India all-rounder, Yuvraj Singh also decided to join the conversation. He wrote in Abishek’s reply, “I think tu bach Gaya is baar.” (I think you got saved this time).”

Abhishek decided to reply to Yuvraj Singh’s comment and boast about his bowling skills. He wrote, “Paji tuhaanu te yaad hee hai Sab kida out krda c mai” (Brother, you know that I used to get everyone out)
After Gill’s superb knock against SRH, Twitter became flooded with messages for the youngster. Many fans even called him the best young player in the country. Morgan also lauded Gill after the match and termed him pleasing to watch.
“I didn’t have to tell him a great deal to be honest, he’s beautiful to watch on the eye, good bat swing, very languid style, magnificent to watch, he’s good kid, very hungry to learn and I would love to bat with him once again. I think he deserves all the success,” said Morgan in the post-match presentation. (IPL 2020)
