Najibullah was born in Logar Province of Afghanistan in a simple middle-class family. He was interested in the sport from a small age. Struggling for years, he was selected in the U-19 national cricket squad of Pakistan and made his first debut for the country at the 2011 World Cup Qualifier which was held in Ireland.

- He came under talks after his debut at the 2011 U-19 T2-0 World Cup. Zadran had a well-performance throughout the tournament.
- In the consequent year, he was selected by Afghanistan’s national cricket team for his domestic performances and potential to play bolt.
- He also made his T20 debut for Afghanistan against India.
- In 2018, he was bought by the squad of Montreal Tigers for appearing in the 1st season of the Global T20 Canada Tournament.
