Barcelona B sign Andrés Solano from Atletico Madrid on loan

Barcelona is trying to improve the club with changes to the structure and squad depth. Veteran players left Barca this summer to be replaced by blooming new talents. Barcelona’s youth academy, La Masia, has failed to provide talents for the past few seasons. Sergio Busquets, Lionel Messi, Gerard Pique, and Sergi Roberto all came through the ranks of La Masia. However, it has been quite a while since any youngster showed their potential from the youth academy.

Ansu Fati and Riqui Puig broke into the first team last season grabbing the opportunity to represent themselves for Barcelona in the club competitions. Fati has carried his form to the start of the new season as he scored a brace in the opening match in La Liga. He also bagged a goal in Koeman’s second competitive match against Celta Viga at Balaidos. The Dutch manager has been essential in implementing the model of securing potential future stars from across Europe.

Barca has signed Francisco Trincao, Pedri, and Sergino Dest in the 2020/21 season acquiring some of the best prospects in the game. All of them will try their luck at Camp Nou learning from every game they play along with some great players at the Catalan outfit. The Barcelona B team is also following the footsteps of its parent club. According to Marca, Barcelona B signed Andres Solano from Atletico Madrid on loan for a year.

The official website posted an update upon closing the deal for the Colombian. Solano signed his contract at the Johan Cryuff stadium and immediately joined his teammates at training. Barca B signed the 22-year-old right-back to bolster their defense as they are looking ahead for a strong season. The B side has had a  successful pre-season winning all of the three matches against L’Escala, CF Peralada, and Tona.

Koeman keeping Barcelona in business in the transfer break

Barca’s senior team has also been through a flying start under the new manager. Things are looking finally in control after two consecutive wins in the league. Koeman is still eager to complete his shortlist signing two more players, namely Memphis Depay from Lyon and Eric Garcia from Manchester City. Barcelona does not have enough funds to complete both the transfers simultaneously but still trying to pitch a gamble through swap deals before the transfer window shuts on October 5.
