Sehwag praised Suryakumar and said that he is not inferior to anyone, as he has been performing with the bat consistently.

“It was a phenomenal match. The innings played by Suryakumar Yadav was incredible. He showed Virat Kohli that he isn’t inferior to anyone (in reference to the selection snub for the Australia tour). Sehwag even said that there have been a lot of incidents earlier in Indian Cricket where players have still not got their chances despite showing excellent performances in domestic cricket. Sehwag hopes that this is not the case with SKY.

“There have been numerous players in the domestic circuit who didn’t get the opportunity in the Indian team despite top performances. I feel IPL is a platform where you will get opportunities if you are doing well. Varun Chakravarthy is a fine example of the same,” Sehwag added.

SKY has scored 362 runs in 12 matches for the Mumbai Indians in IPL 2020. Everyone expects him to get his chance sooner or later in the Indian team. He has been excellent in domestic cricket as well.
