Barcelona News: Barcelona looks forward to making a strong start to the season. The club has moved ahead of the chaos at the end of the last campaign. Losing to Bayern Munich in the Champions League quarter-finals, Barca were in a rut. Captain and star man Lionel Messi wanted to drift away from the club due to a lack of faith in the board. Eventually, he stayed put. The Argentine remarked that the board does not have any future endeavours to excel in the club.

Inspite of the harsh criticism from the dressing room and the fans, club President Josep Bartomeu continued his term at the office. He has tried to make some changes that remain in jeopardy. New managers and Sporting Director were appointed to rebuild Barcelona for this year. The board has allowed a majority of the players to leave Camp Nou.

The 17-year-old attacker has the potential to prove himself and Koeman looks to utilize him. Pedri gave an impressive outing against Gimanastic in the pre-season friendly. His dummy laid the way for Ousmane Dembele’s goal. Koeman was fond of the youngster as he heaped praise during the post-match conference. The attacking midfielder is quite versatile with his role in the team and looks to show his prowess with more breakthroughs. Pedri has got skills that can come handy in intense situations.

Along with Pedri, Riqui Puig and Fati are the other two youngsters to stay back and bolster the squad. The latest signing Francisco Trincao seems to create a place for himself in the squad with Suarez leaving. Trincao is a youngster with promise as he arrives from SC Brage.
