IPL 2020: Chennai Super Kings faced off against the Kolkata Knight Riders on the back of a 10-wicket win against the Kings XI Punjab. They stepped on to Abu Dhabi, looking to carry on their winning momentum.
Dinesh Karthik won the toss and decided to bat first. The CSK bowling unit put up an impressive performance. They restricted KKR to 167 runs total. The bowlers picked up wickets at regular intervals to keep the run flow in check.
CSK were good din the field too. Ravindra Jadeja, who is one of the best fielders in world cricket, took a spectacular catch in the 11th over to dismiss Sunil Narine. He was fielding at the boundary at mid-wicket. He ran towards the right, took the catch in the air. He realised that he was going to touch the rope. So, he used his presence of mind to throw the ball to Faf Du Plessis, who was running towards him.
IPL 2020: MS Dhoni took a spectacular diving catch.
Another brilliant CSK fielding display was on the show when captain MS Dhoni grabbed a spectacular catch behind the wickets. On the 19th over of the KKR innings, Dwayne Bravo bowled slower fullish delivery around the off stump. Shivam Mavi edged it and the ball flew towards Dhoni’s right side. (IPL 2020)

Dhoni had only one glove on as he was trying to stop the bye at that point of time. He leapt to his right to grab the ball but ended up lobbing it with his hand which was without the glove. However, he did not give up and defied his age to jump and complete the catch. (IPL 2020)
The video of the catch:
Chennai bowling force was at its best against KKR as all their bowlers apart from Deepak Chahar scalped at least one wicket. Dwayne Bravo emerged as the most successful bowler by taking three wickets. Sam Curran, Karn Sharma and Shardul Thakur also joined the show by scalping two wickets each, restricting KKR to a moderate total.
However, KKR made a strong comeback while defending the total and won the match by 10 runs.
